honda 2021 CBR500R

Choose the biker you want to be. With its aggressive looks and strong low-end power, the CBR500R frees you from all constraints. And it’s A2 licence ready

The steel diamond-tube frame has a tuned rigidity balance to enhance feedback to the rider. The engine is close to the swingarm pivot point for fast steering and easy handling. Seat height is an easy-to-manage 785mm. You own the road. Get out and explore it.

Whether you are cruising down the motorway, or racing on the track, the CBR500R features adjustable suspension to match your journey. 41mm telescopic forks deliver a smooth and controlled ride. The Pro-Link monoshock rear suspension features 5-stage spring pre-load adjustment and works through a rigid box-section swingarm. With this setup, anything is possible

The CBR500R has been designed to give you optimum manoeuvrability at high speeds. The lightweight 17-inch cast aluminium wheels feature hollow cross-section Y-shaped spokes. The front tyre is a 120/70-ZR17 and the rear a 160/60-ZR17, giving you a great balance between good grip and light, neutral steering. Now you can explore any territory.

Weather conditions should never stop you from riding. That’s why we’ve equipped the CBR500R with a single front 320mm wavy disc and powerful two-piston brake caliper, matched to a 240mm rear disc and single-piston caliper. 2-channel ABS is fitted as standard, managing braking force on wet or dry roads.

The CBR500R features an attractive negative-display LCD dash. All the information you need is now easily accessible and clearly and concisely presented, and includes dual trip meters, fuel level and consumption gauges, and Gear Position and Shift Up indicators.

Drawn from CBR DNA.
The CBR500R is every inch a CBR, which means it’s one of the sharpest tools in our toolbox. Its sharp, aggressive lines incorporate unique aerodynamic winglets, for high-speed stability. And the view forward is pure sports, with clip-on handlebars mounted below the top yoke and negative-display LCD dash. The innovative fuel tank design is carefully shaped to cut down on excess bulk, yet at the same time give useful cruising range.

Twin-cylinder power.
The CBR500R features a powerful twin-cylinder engine to give you elastic, enjoyable power. You won’t ever have to choose between a bike with lightning-fast acceleration from a standing start and one that can take you on a thrilling chase through the slick six-speed gearbox at high rpm. The CBR500R gives you both. This is what freedom is all about.

Just like its larger CBR siblings, an Assist/Slipper clutch eases upshifts and prevents rear wheel lock-up on hard downshifts. And, to give you an even sportier ride, strong mid-range torque between 3,000 and 7,000 rpm makes every corner exit a moment to savour.

And ready to ride.
The CBR500R features a negative-display LCD dash, with Gear Position and Shift Up indicators. For tackling a challenging set of corners, the handlebars clip-on below the top yoke, allowing you to maintain fully-focused control. The 41mm telescopic forks are adjustable for spring preload, as is the Pro-Link rear monoshock. Full LED lighting, including indicators, is a premium finishing touch. Ready. Set. GO.
