From the initial planning stage of the new GT Motorcycles headquarters the Performance Engineering Dyno' Room was to be an integral part of the Honda showroom. With the equipment sunk into the floor, more than adequate sound deadening, exhaust extraction and a viewing window this was to be a state-of-the-art installation for the South West's motorcyclists.
As well as building engines with more power that maintain reliability, GT Performance Engineering can also build engines that are just plain mind-bendingly fast. Take Mike's Grainger's Turbo ZZ-R1100 for example, built by Brian Capper the bike took the European motorcycle speed record. Read more about the ZZR here.
GT Motorcycles is proud to have the only dynamometer shop facility in the South West. Mike is in no doubt about its value. The Dynojet 250 is one of the most sophisticated pieces of equipment available. Rather than simply relying on the mass of its rollers to measure engine performance it is equipped with an electronic Load Control brake which adds substantially to its accuracy. A computer interface displays power curves and huge amounts of other engine data. Combine this latest technology with our skilled operator Steve A'Lee and you can have this potent package working for you!

Here are some examples of what's on offer: At GT Performance Engineering we can set up your fuel-injected Suzuki on our Dynojet 250 Brake Dynamometer, re-mapping your bikes ECU with our "Yosh Box" to give optimum performance. We provide you with a booklet containing the graphs of your engine's performance. All this for as little as £130 including vat. If you have an after-market exhaust system with air-box mod's and a Power Commander we can perform the required Dyno set-up, creating your own custom fuel map, from £180 including vat. Remember, the correct air/fuel ratio is vital for optimum performance and reliability with modified engines.
For Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki and other 4-cylinder motorcycles; if you have purchased a Dyno Jet kit or a Power Commander we can fit and set this up for you, prices from £180 including vat.
