Tomahawk T3 Tyre 2006

The latest from Tomahawk;

Tomahawk, the UK’s pioneering manufacturer of retread radial motorcycle tyres, has launched a new pattern tyre for the 2006 season.

Their T3 tyre is sport biased with a large contact patch that puts more rubber on the road. Its reduced shoulder tread area offers better lean angle and less ‘feathering’ under spirited riding conditions, offering Z-rated performance in a choice of three compounds to suit a variety of riding styles and conditions.

Retreading motorcycle tyres is a highly specialised technique and Tomahawk has unrivalled experience of taking an existing tyre carcass and re-vulcanising new “virgin” rubber back on. Production is centred in a 37,000 square foot factory at Rhayader in Mid Wales, which is accredited to ISO9001:2000. Every tyre can be traced from when it entered the premises as a carcass to the time it left as a new re-treaded tyre.

Tomahawk understand that riders rarely replace front and rear tyres simultaneously and so they clearly identify the make and model of the original carcass on all of their products so that customers may mix and match.

Three compounds are available; Road, for every day use and good rates of wear, Sport, for spirited riding on road or track and Sprint, which is ideally suited to track days.

The quality, durability and price of Tomahawk tyres have earned them a loyal following among discerning road riders. In May 2003, Dave Coates established a new world record for ‘donuts’ on a pair of Tomahawk tyres.
